Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located and do you have a studio?

I am an on-location natural light photographer [which means I will come to your home and/or your favorite spot in town].  I do not use a studio.  The best time for outdoor sessions are typically 2 hours before sunset.  Indoor sessions can be held any time of the day.  Sessions are mainly held in the South Jersey area [travel within 25 miles of zip code 08090 is included in your session fee].

What do I need to bring to the session?

My style is very natural and relaxed, therefore I do not use props for sessions [no baskets, hats, headbands, or live animals – eek!]  I do however encourage objects that will make your child feel comfortable [blankies, favorite toys and stuffed animals] and items that are a natural part of the session [bubbles, bicycles, sidewalk chalk, etc.]  I want capture your family in the most authentic way possible.  There is very little posing involved so that your photos convey genuine emotion and connection.

What should I wear?

I do not recommend wearing matching outfits [no white shirts and khakis] or even your fanciest party clothes.  In other words, dress up a little but make sure you and your family are first and foremost comfortable in what you’re wearing.  We can chat in more detail prior to your session.  Heck, I’ll even help you pull it all together the day of…I love that part!

Do you shoot weddings?

I do not shoot weddings at this time.

Do you hold mini-sessions?

I do not hold mini-sessions at this time.  Once a year, around the holidays I hold “Traditions Session” which are shorter and discounted.  You can learn more about those HERE.

Do you do freelance or editorial work?

Absolutely!  I love collaborating with small businesses and local artisans.  Please contact me for more information and pricing.

Do you barter/trade services?

Yes!  Do you have a trade or business that you think I might be interested in?  Children’s clothing?  Home goods? A skill that might benefit my business or family?  Let’s chat!  I’m always open to collaborations and bartering.
